Course Information
No, the Basic English Language Skill course is a non-credit course designed to help students build their foundational English skills.
Yes, if your English test score is 54 or below on the SI-Test, TOEFL, or CU-TEP, or 5.0 or below on the IELTS, you are required to take and pay for the Basic English course.
If your score is above these levels, the course is not required.
You need to submit a valid IELTS, TOEFL, or CU-TEP score above 5.0 within one semester after taking the SI-Test to skip the Basic English course.
No, course placement is based on your proficiency level. You will be enrolledin the course that matches your test results.
Your starting course is decided based on your SI-Test results or your official English test scores (like IELTS, TOEFL, or CU-TEP).
We will place you in the course that best matches your English level.
Not all, but you can skip the first course Fundamental English and start with Advanced English if:
You score IELTS 6.0+ (no part below 5.5), or
You get 15+ score in every section of the SI-Test.

SI-Test Information
The SI-Test is used to evaluate your English proficiency and place you in the appropriate English course at LCIC based on your skill level.
Yes, the SI-Test is requiredfor English course placement unless you have valid English proficiency scores (IELTS, CU-TEP, or TOEFL), in which case you may be exempt.
The SI-Test is held 2–3 times each semester. Dates will be announced on our official Facebook page, LINE account, and also sent to new students via email. Make sure to follow us and check your inbox to stay updated.
If you miss the SI-Test, you will need to wait until the next available test date in the next semester. It cannot be rescheduled individually.
No, the SI-Test can only be taken once. If you are not satisfied with your result, you may submit a valid English proficiency test score such as IELTS, CU-TEP, or TOEFL instead.
The registration link and QR code will be posted on our Facebook and LINE. Siam students will also receive the link by email.
Yes, a reminder will be sent to your email before the test date. Please check your inbox regularly.

Bring your
student ID or official photo ID, wear your university uniform, and
be punctual. Mobile devices are not allowed during the test.
You must collect your results in person on or after the date announced during the SI-Test.

Yes, the registration fee is 6,000 THB. Payment should be made via bank transfer using the bank details on the official invoice
Depends on your study major (program):
- IT or Civil Engineering: Courses are included in your package-based tuition, so payment is
not required. - BBA: Since tuition is credit-based, payment is
required per credit for these courses.
