Rules & Regulations

LCIC has established the following policy regarding the submission of English scores by students:

  • Only TOFEL (iBT), IELTS, and CU-TEP are acceptable.
  • Students who do not have mentioned certificate can take the SI TEST with LCIC after admission approval.
  • Students have to submit their English scores within the first academic year to be able to join language classes in LCIC.
  • Students can get a study plan in LCIC according to their level of proficiency.

By adhering to this policy, we aim to maintain high language standards and ensure that students are equipped with the necessary English proficiency to succeed in their academic pursuits at Siam University.

Note: LCIC has the right to update or modify the requirements as necessary

Note: If a student's score is below the scores mentioned in the table above, the student will get the conditional offer to take Intensive English courses and not be able to register for 117-401 Fundamental English until passing the given courses.

LCIC has established the following policy on Students' class attendance:

  • According to the rules and regulations of Siam University, Students must be 80 percent present in class during the semester.
  • If the student misses more than 3 sessions, s/he needs to do extra assignments to fulfill the requirement of the course.
  • If the student misses more than 5 sessions, s/he is scored as I condition that semester and they need to contact LCIC to sign an acknowledgment agreement of their status.
  • If the student does not follow the requirements, LCIC has the right to score the student as F.

By adhering to this policy, we aim to create a conducive learning environment that promotes regular attendance, active engagement, and academic success for all students at our language center.

Although using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and technologies has not been considered plagiarism in the academic world and it is not forbidden by the president of Siam University, LCIC has the right to set clear rules and regulations for students at Siam International College to use AI in their English courses in order to foster a balanced and ethical integration of AI and ensure that students gain valuable insights into emerging technologies while upholding academic integrity.

The principles of using AI in LCIC English course requirements including class or final paper(s), project(s), exams, oral presentation, or other works are as follows:

1. Students are NOT allowed to submit AI-generated work as their own.

2. Lecture(s) has the right to use AI detector tools to detect the use of AI in students' work(s).

3. The acceptable percentage of using AI and other technologies is less than 40.

4. Students are ONLY allowed to use AI as a tool to generate ideas.

5. The data and information generated by AI should be cited properly in APA style.

Note: LCIC policy in using AI is subject to periodic review and may be amended as needed.

LCIC AI Usage Policy
